Step 2: SoundCloud

SoundCloud is an online audio distribution platform which allows collaboration, promotion and distribution of audio recordings.
We are going to use this online tool in order to record, save and upload the audio files that we are going to create during this course.

First you have to click SOUNDCLOUD then you will have to log in. Here you have can register as a new member, here you have to click and fill all the info. Or you can log in using facebook :

Once you are in you will find on screen your dasboard . Think of it as your main page where you willl find your activity and the activities of the one you follow (if it is the case).
Then go to the right, you will find the upload & share bottom (1). On the other part, there is a mini update which gives you general data about how many plays, comments or profile views you'll get.

Then you will find two options. You can record the audio on line (REC) or upload the audio that has been already recorded (CHOOSE FILES). Soundcloud supports files such as: mp3, acc, mp2, wave. If you choose this option you have to make sure to record the audio in the right file extension.

*If you use the ipod or ipad just go the app store and download it, it's for free. It works exactly the same way. You'll find the same options, except choosing a file. You are just able to REC on line.
